Coffee & Dates Smoothie is an amazing sugar free smoothie.
Yes, sugar free. It actually uses dates as a natural sweeter.
I had some dates left that no one was interested in eating as it is. So looks for some inspiration on Pinterest and found this recipe. Have adapted form a few and tweaked as per my taste.
The best part was that it has coffee so I was not keen on giving it to my son. So as I pour it in the glass after taking the shots; asked him to hand over the glass to his daddy and instead of that he started drinking it. Whole glass was emptied and he gave an empty glass to his daddy🤣🤣 and my husband had no idea what had happened!!
I love the fact that it has that coffee kick which is enough to switch my evening tea for this smoothie. And a secret ingredient that makes the whole smoothie come together.
A coffee hit with dates that make this smoothie sugar free.
- 1 tsp Instant Coffee
- 7-8 Dates Soaked In hot water For 15 mins
- 2-3 pinch Cardamom powder
- 200 ml Whole Milk
In a blender start by adding the soaked dates and 3-4 tbsp. milk. Blend to extract pulp of the dates.
Add coffee, cardamom powder and milk.
Blend till mixed together.
Pour in the serving glasses. Top with Ice.
