A home style mushroom and carrot pulav for a lazy afternoon. Perfect one pot meal for busy people.
Wash the rice and soak in 4 cups of water for 30 min.
Meanwhile rice is soaked chop just the heads of mushrooms and also carrots and onions. I like to chop them small, it's entirely your choice how you want to chop.
In a heavy bottom pan add some oil.
Add the chopped veggies all together. Saute them till they get some color and start to cook half way.
Add salt and all the other masala. Cook for 10 secs till masala is cooked.
Now add the rice and the water. Cover and cook till rice and veggies are cooked.
Enjoy
I like to serve my pulse with fried papad, turnip salad and top my pulse with fried onions.
Other times I could just add some achaar and curd.
