Egg Toast | Ande Wali Bread

In my childhood I must have eaten this ande wali bread atleat once a week.

Its easy to make and so so tasty. I loved to have some ketchup on the side and now could use a cup of tea. Over the years I did learn to make ande wali bread myself but the taste of what my dad used to cook is something I can never match. I meant he literally makes it so much better than me. And now even my son is a fan of his food; says its so yummy.

Ande wali bread

Its crispy on the outside but so soft on the inside. Did you ever make recipe that remind you of your childhood. Share with me in comments what were the recipes that make you remember your childhood??

This is primarily eaten for breakfast. Other breakfast recipes that are my fav?

Must try my Masala Egg Toast and chai masala to make the best tea.

Directions to make Ande Wali Bread-

Makes 6 slices

Ingredients:

3 eggs

1/2 cup milk

salt & pepper as per taste

6 bread slices(preferably fresh)

Method:

In a bowl whisk the eggs, milk, salt & pepper.

Now place your tawa/griddle on a medium heat.

Spread some oil on the tawa/griddle.

Dip a slice of bread in the egg mix on both sides.

Place directly on the tawa/griddle.

Cook on both side till golden. Repeat with all the bread.

Make sure to leave a little egg mix behind as the salt and pepper settles down in the mix.

Serve hot with ketchup and some tea.

Would you make it?  But can’t make it now!
