My Favorite Eggless Chocolate Cake Recipe

At any special occasion you can never go wrong with a chocolate cake.

This time I have my favourite eggless chocolate cake recipe that is moist, so chocolaty and yummy.

This is my go to recipe for icing cakes, cake pops or just plain for eating. This recipe can easily be converted into cupcakes; even can be halved or double and still works perfectly.

Frosted this cake with a very easy whipped cream icing.

I decided to frost the cake in simple way, kept it naked as I was avoiding too use a lot of icing. This is an easy cake to make this Valentines Day for your loved one.

Directions to make Eggless Chocolate Cake Recipe-

Ingredients:

1 & 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour/Maida

1 tsp Baking Powder

3/4 tsp Baking Soda

A pinch of salt

1/4 cup dark cocoa powder

1 cup Powdered Sugar

1 cup warm water

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/3 cup vegetable oil

Method:

In a large bowl add water, sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until all the sugar is dissolved.

Now add the oil, lemon juice and give it a good mix.

I like to put the sieve straight on top and mix the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

** You could mix the dry ingredients seperately and then combine the two. It works both ways.

Mix well.

The batter will be a little liquidy than a regular cake batter.

Don’t bother this will actually make the cake more moist.

Pour in a greased 8 inch round cake tin.

Bake at a pre heated oven for about 30 mins or until the centre is cooked.

Decorate as you like. Enjoy!!
