Homemade Fresh Strawberry Jam With Just 3 Ingredients

Have you ever tried homemade jams?! Jams are actually very easy to make, when made at home they are preservatives free and ensure maximum freshness.

This Homemade Fresh Strawberry Jam is so delicious. I can think of so many ways to use this. Top it on waffles, pancakes, cakes. So yum.

This jam can be stored in refrigeration for about 6 months. The pectin in strawberries is enough to preserve it naturally. This jam consistency is soft, spreadable and delicious. Now you can preserve strawberries and enjoy them later as well. I wish strawberries could come all year long as frozen strawberries are not really available in India easily.

I even used this jam to make strawberry shake. It came out just yummy.

Directions to make Homemade Fresh Strawberry Jam-

Ingredients:

100 gm fresh strawberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar

Place a glass jar and its lid in boiling water for 5 mins and leave it to cool. Also place a glass plate in freezer.

In a bowl mash strawberries and measure to 2 cups.

In a heavy bottom pan add 2 cups strawberry, sugar and lemon juice.

Leave aside for 30 mins.

* Please note that add sugar as per your taste. This measurement is on the sweeter side. So even if the strawberry is not sweet you will get a sweet jam.

After 30 mins it will release water.

Now in a heavy bottom pan cook this mixture and reduce it down completely.

It may take up to 20 min for this step.(on low flame)

To check if the jam is ready place a tbsp of prepared jam in the plate from freezer. Place it back in freezer for 1 min. Run your finger right in the middle. If it stays as it is; its ready.

Pour the jam in the jar leave 1/2 inch space on top. Refrigerate and preserve.

Enjoy!!
