Cheesy Mushrooms Pasta | One Pot Meal | Make Delicious & Cheesy Pasta In One Pot

Pasta is like my comfort food. Its been my savior in all kinds of moods. Whether I want to indulge or feel good or just don’t feel like eating usual stuff. I kind of grab whatever I have and end up making pasta.

This Cheesy one pot Mushroom Pasta is a delicious meal with so much less fuss and more fun.


But can I just say that this pasta recipe is up there; I mean I’ve already made this twice in a week. Its so tasty & easy to make. And you don’t end up with a ton of utensils and a full kitchen.

White Sauce & Spinach Spaghetti Pasta

I have cooked down onions and mushrooms really well and given the sauce a white sauce appeal without the flour. You can do the same thing with red sauce. Just cook down the tomato’s enough to create a loose sauce(btw learn here to make your own pasta sauce) and don’t forget to add lots of basil and cheese. I am sorry but this post doesn’t say healthy pasta so this one is fully loaded with cheese. Plus it taste great & once in a while its OK to eat cheese. I have used processed cheese as I do not like the stringy ness of mozzarella in this recipe. If you’d like use any combination cheese for a different flavor while baking.

Directions to make one pot mushroom pasta-


2 cups macaroni pasta

2 large onions sliced

200 gm mushrooms chopped

1/2 tsp garlic minced

250 ml(1 cup) milk

1/2 cup fresh cream/double cream

Salt & pepper as per taste

Processed cheese for baking


Take a heavy bottom pan. Heat some oil or butter and saute the garlic.

Add onions & mushrooms and cook down well. Add salt & pepper.

Now add pasta, milk, fresh cream and 1&1/2 cup water, cover and cook till pasta is al-dente(meaning almost cook) as we will cook this further in oven.

There may still be some sauce mix in the pasta which will further thicken up as it bakes. If you wish to consume it at this stage just reduce the sauce as per liking and Enjoy!!

Now preheat the oven at 200°C for 5 mins.

Transfer the pasta into a baking tray. You can also make layers if pasta & cheese if you’d like. Bake for 20 mins.

Serve hot with garlic bread. Enjoy!!
