Ingredients
For Masala-
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 10-12 Cashews
  • 6-7 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Inch ginger
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 3 Large Tomatoes chopped
  • 3 Cloves laung
  • 2 Green cardamom elichi
For Gravy-
  • 2-3 tbsp butter or ghee or oil
  • 1 Large onion chopped
  • 1 bay leaf tej patta
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Tbsp sugar or honey
  • 250 gm Paneer cottage cheese
  • 2 tbsp shredded panner extra for garnishing
  • 2 tbsp fenugreek leaves
Instructions
For masala-
  1. Add ingredients under masala and boil for 15 mins. Let it cool and blend into a paste.

  2. I like a little coarse texture but you can make a fine paste.

  3. For gravy start by heating butter. Add bay leaf and onions. Saute till onions are soft or a little brown.

  4. Add the blended masala and stir well.

  5. Time to add spices. Start by adding salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala.

  6. Now masala needs to cook till you see that oil is seperating.

  7. Add sugar & water. Stir again.

  8. Add paneer cubes. Very gently mix. Around 5 minutes by partially covering.

  9. Lastly add kasturi methi and shredded paneer. Mix well. 

  10. After this you can also add cream if you like. Enjoy!!
