For this cake use imported oranges or kinno.

Directions to make orange cake-
Ingredients-
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 & 1/4 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp orange zest
*For zest with a fine grater peel the orange skin and make sure not to grate the white part under the orange layer.
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup oil
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup milk
Method-
In a bowl whisk together sugar and eggs till pale and fluffy.
Add the orange juice and zest and oil. I have use olive oil.
Mix everything. Add milk and again mix.
Now rime to add flour, baking powder and salt. *salt balances the sweetness
You can taste check and see if it needs more orange juice. If needed you can add 1/4 cup orange juice more.
Mix everything till the dry ingredients are completely mixed.
Now pour the batter in a round tin. Tap to remove any air bubbles.
Bake at 180°C for 40 mins or untill the centre of the cake is done.
