Veg Burger(Potato & Paneer Patty) With Oven Baked Fries

Its Sunday and your usual breakfast is boring – is my story every Sunday. The first question to whack my brain is what to make for breakfast. So decided to make this really easy breakfast Veg Burgers. Its so easy to put together and if you are like me who stocks some essentials life is so easy; if not no worries read the recipe and stock up for your breakfast on weekend.

Why I am making it a weekend post is because weekend us coming and frankly I like to enjoy my burger rather than just stuffing it up. But its a great kids tiffin food too; I mean all the kids love burger so why not homemade.


Today with all the fast food chains around us these burgers and pizzas have become a part of our life. I remember around 8-10 year back when this trend just picked up having a burger from Mc Donald’s was a big deal. But now its everywhere. Kids know all the menus at such little age. So its a definitive to be able to make a burger at home too.

This is a really easy recipe. For the patty you can change it as per your requirements & taste. I have served it with a side of oven baked fries. As I wanted it to be healthy too and kids love it.


4 burger buns

1 large onions sliced circular

1 large tomato sliced circular

1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes

1 cup mashed Paneer/ cottage cheese

1/2 cup lettuce

1 cup Bread crumbs(learn to make your own)

4 tbsp burger Mayo or garlic Mayo

2 potatoes cut in wedges

2 Olive oil

4-5 tbsp refined oil

Salt and Pepper as per taste

Oregano seasoning

Fresh coriander chopped


2 tsp cornflour


Very first to prepare the patty combine potato and Paneer in a dough. Add salt and pepper to taste. And also add coriander.

Divide evenly in four portions. Make palm size disk and flatten a little bit to form your patty.

Make a paste of water and corn flour.

Lay down your bread crumbs in a large plate.

Heat refined oil in a nonstick pan.

Now dip the patty in cornflour and then breadcrumbs. Use alternate hands to avoid lumping the mix. Now repeat the process again.

Fry the patty till golden, keep aside.


Preheat the oven at 220°C.

In a bowl mix olive oil, salt and oregano seasoning. Add potato wedges to it. Mix well.

In a baking tray scatter the potato’s and bake for 5-7 min.

Now toast the buns with some butter.

Lets assemble now.

Burger bun, top with Mayo, lettuce, patty, onion, tomato and other bun on top.
