Beetroot Paratha

  • 2 cup wheat flour atta
  • 1 cup grated boiled beetroot or beetroot pureed
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pepper as per taste
  • 1-2 tbsp oil to knead the dough
  • 1/2 tbsp amchur or anardana


  1. In a bowl add all the ingredients except oil and knead in to a soft dough.

  2. If the dough is hard the paratha will turn out hard.

  3. Oil your hands and knead again till the dough is soft.

  4. On a hot tawa or skillet cook the paratha on both sides. I have applied very little ghee on both sides and cooked it through ad per my liking.

  5. We served this with coriander chutney and mango lemonade.

  6. Enjoy in breakfast or brunch.
