Paneer Kalimirch Recipe

Cottage cheese/paneer cubes dunked in peppery smooth and silly gravy.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Paneer/cottage cheese
  • 1 big Red onion sliced roughly
  • 1 small capsicum cubed
  • 150 ml milk skimmed or full fat
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cream
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 5 tbsp mustard oil

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottom pan heat mustard oil till smoking.

  2. Add the onions & capsicum. Saute till a little soft.

  3.  Now add milk & water and paneer cubes.

    The paneer will absorb the liquid and become soft.

  4. Add salt & pepper too. Avoid over mixing.

  5. Once the milk and water starts to cook and reduce add cream and cook for 2-3 mins.

  6. Enjoy!! We served with roti.

Recipe Notes

The pepper/ kalimirch flavored will get intense as the gravy rests. So pls add accordingly.
