Paneer kalimirch recipe is almost zero effort, makes a rich gravy without actually any hassle.
One of my favorite paneer recipes. The kalimirch flavor or pepper flavor comes from freshly ground kalimirch/pepper. Please ensure that.
The recipe is a perfect side dish for any occasion. And its so quick that you can even wait for last minute for preparing. I mean lazy bums like me do need such recipes Wink;)
A quick video when I make this at home(ps the ingredients may vary but results are mostly same)
Directions to make Paneer Kalimirch recipe-
Cottage cheese/paneer cubes dunked in peppery smooth and silly gravy.
- 250 gm Paneer/cottage cheese
- 1 big Red onion sliced roughly
- 1 small capsicum cubed
- 150 ml milk skimmed or full fat
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup Fresh cream
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 5 tbsp mustard oil
-
In a heavy bottom pan heat mustard oil till smoking.
-
Add the onions & capsicum. Saute till a little soft.
-
Now add milk & water and paneer cubes.
The paneer will absorb the liquid and become soft.
-
Add salt & pepper too. Avoid over mixing.
-
Once the milk and water starts to cook and reduce add cream and cook for 2-3 mins.
-
Enjoy!! We served with roti.
The pepper/ kalimirch flavored will get intense as the gravy rests. So pls add accordingly.
Cant make it now. Pin it here for later??
