If you like pasta then this macaroni pasta is a must try recipe. Loaded with vegetables and cheese plus I made a fresh pasta sauce. An easy way to make pasta sauce which I am sure you will truly love.
Do you know the difference between pasta and macaroni. Macaroni is also a type of pasta but it’s made with machine and other types of pasta is made with either hand or machine. Great right?!
Moreover kids love pasta. My 1 year old loves to munch on pasta for lunch or snack. And my 6 year old would demand pasta every second day.
My Indian Style Macaroni Recipe is not only tasty but a family favourite.

Directions to make Indian Style Macaroni Recipe –
For the pasta sauce-
4-5 large tomatoes
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 carrot
1 small onion
1/2 beetroot
Handful basil leaves
Salt & pepper as per taste
Any pizza seasoning or dried oregano as per taste
For Macaroni –
3 cups macaroni pasta
1 & 1/2 cup veggies of your choice, our favourite veggies are broccoli, baby corn, bell peppers, carrots, capsicum
1 tbsp salt &, 2 tbsp oil for boiling pasta
4-5 tsp of olive oil
1 & 1/2 cup mix of processed cheese, mozzerella and cheddar
Method-
In a pressure cooker add all the veggies under pasta sauce and boil it.
Now blend the veggie. You could strain it. But it’s not necessary!
Now on 1 side keep a pot of boiling water. Add salt & oil as mentioned in ingredients. Once water is boiling add macaroni. Boil till pasta is cooked. For this pasta I like it to be cooked completely not aldente.
On other side add the olive oil in a pan. Add chopped or minced garlic. Once fragrant add the blended puree.
Cook till its completely reduced like a sauce. Add salt & pepper. Add 2 tsp ketchup if you like it saucy. Add the basil leaves.
Add the veggies to the sauce. If you’d like saute the veggies in some oil or butter.
Add the veggies and macaroni pasta in the sauce.
Add salt, pepper if needed.
Mix well.
Lastly add the grated cheese.
Enjoy!
