I love pizza, I mean who does not. My cheesy delicious thin crust pan pizza has me all hooked up. I have already make it twice in a week. And it came out just like the pan pizza you get in professional pizza kitchen.

So why spend so much money when you can make pizza from scratch and that too so tasty and ‘professional lookin’ might I add?.

So make this thin crust pan pizza at home just the way you like it. Make toppings to suit you taste buds and get going. I am going with caramelized onion pan pizza. Its my fav kind when making at home. Do try it as well.

This recipe makes 3 medium size pizzas.

Directions to make Thin Crust Pan Pizza from scratch-

Ingredients:

2&1/2 cup APF
1tsp salt
1tsp sugar
1 tsp instant dry yeast
2tsp olive oil
Lukewarm water to knead the dough
2 large onions chopped in rings
5 tsp pizza sauce(make your own sauce)
Cheese for topping
A round nonstick pan for making pizza
Oil for coating the pan dish
Semolina to dust the pan

Method:

Mix in flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Slowly add the water and start making a dough. Eventually you will get a sticky dough.

Now oil your hands and on a flat surface start kneading the dough. Kneading is important as it will develop gluten to make the base soft and palpalable.

Once the dough comes together in a round and smooth ball, cover and let it rest in a deep dish someplace warm.

Now prepare the dish for pizza to cook. Oil it generously and put about 1tbsp semolina and rotate the pan to cover the base and edges.

Put 1tbsp oil, salt and pepper and mix in the onions so oil is coated evenly.

After 90 min the dough will be doubled. If not wait for another 30 mins.

Preheat the oven to 200°C for 10 mins.

Punch the dough down and knead again for 30 sec.

Make 3 balls of equal size.

Oil your hands and start flattening it and pulling it in round and place it in the centre of the pan. Now use your fingers to push through the edges and evening out the pizza.

Bake for 10-12 mins.

Serve hot.

Enjoy!

PS
• I have made the exact same recipe without yeast. Just omit the yeast and continue with the same process. Of course the pizza will be flat with no elasticity but nevertheless tasty. You can make this one on a gas stove on a nonstick tawa or flat pan. Cover & cook for about 10-15 mins on very low heat.

• If you don’t want thin crust pizza then after putting topping let it rest for 15-20 min and it will rise. Then bake accordingly.
