I just love the lovely aroma of freshly baked bread. It is so difficult to wait for it to cool down and settle; so that I can slice into these gorgeous loaf. It just feels pleasure that what you are providing to your family is 100% pure and still yummy. Do you believe the atta bread that you get in store is actually atta bread minus xyz???  Leave in your comment about your experiences using store bought bread or would you like to bake your own bread??

I have given some tips and tricks for bread baking if you are a beginner- Please refer to my post BASIC WHITE BREAD | DIY

Ingredients:

3 cups Whole Wheat Flour/Atta

1 tsp salt

1 tsp granulated sugar(or honey)

2 tsp gluten powder

1 tsp instant yeast

2 tbsp olive oil

1&1/2 cup warm water (or half & half milk and water)

Method:

Mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast and gluten powder. Now add water and form a smooth dough.

Now knead the dough using 2 tbsp oil for around 7-8 min.

Leave the dough at a warm place for 90 min ( 30 mins more in winters) until the dough is doubled.

After the dough had doubled, punch down the dough. Knead for another min.

Flatten the dough in rectangle and start rolling making sure to pinch the edges.

Place in your bread making greased pan. Leave for another 30 mins to rise.

Preheat the oven for 10mins. Bake at 180C for 35 mins. Leave in the pan to cool for 5 mins. Then remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Enjoy your guiltless bread.

To get clean slices wait for the next day and slice it up!!

    1. Thanks sheshma for stopping by. Normal atta or wholewheat flour(of which we make chapati) is a dense flour and after kneading it will be a brick of bread. For that reason extra gluten is added to make a good loaf of bread. Its perfectly safe. Here in India its difficult to get bread flour hence I add separately. You can get it in shops where baking related products are sold.
