Oreo Choco Brownie

Let’s get right to it..the moment I saw these on a cookery show I knew I had to bake these. These are so sinful (my mouth is watering even by thinking of them).

But to my utter dismay I was always short on some ingredient or another. So finally after 2 weeks of delaying the urge to bake them this weekend came the day when I got to bake them.

These almost seem like goodies to make me feel better. Have this with scoop of ice cream and I am in heaven!!

This recipe has been adapted from the celebrity chef Lorraine Pascal.

Ingredients:

100gms butter softener
200 gms dark compound chocolate (chopped finely)
1 cup soft brown sugar
2 tbsp vanilla extract
2 eggs 2 yolks
2 tbsp plain flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
150 gm pack of Oreo biscuits crushes in quaters
Icing sugar for dusting

Method:

Preheat the oven at 180°C.

Melt butter in a pan in low heat. Remove from heat. Add chocolate. Keep stirring as it will melt.

Separately in a pan whisk the eggs and egg till until bubbles are formed.

Add brown sugar in two portions and try not to knock down the air bubbles formed.

Now add this mixture to the chocolate butter mix.

Sift in flour and cocoa powder. Mix gently until no lump are left.

Fold in 3/4 of the Oreo biscuits. Transfer into a square baking tin. Top with some more Oreo biscuits. Press them in little in the mix.

Bake for 25 min until cooked.
