Rajma-kebabs

When you think of rajma the most favourite dish Punjabi Rajma masala comes to mind. But can you believe these tasty kebabs are made with rajma.

I have used the light red rajma as that’s the one you should use. The dark red rajma works so well when you want re-fried beans for tacos.

Let’s see how!

Rajma-kebab

Directions to make Rajma Kebabs-

Ingredients-

1.5 cups Boiled Rajma/Kidney Beans

3/4th cup boiled potato

1/2 cup chopped onions

1 tbsp minced garlic

1/2 tbsp grated ginger

1 tbsp chopped green chillies

Salt as per taste

Red chilli powder as per taste

1 tbsp chaat masala

1 tsp jeera powder/cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

Method:

In a pan lightly mash potatoes and rajma. You could also use a potato mashes.

**you can use a grinder too but it can get very sticky very easily.

Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and chillies. Mix

Now add all the spices.

***add salt very carefully as chaat masala is also salty.

Make a smooth dough. If need be add some breadcrumbs if you see that dough is not forming.

Shape them into kebabs.

On a pan or a skillet heat some oil.

Now place the kebabs and cook at medium high heat.

Flip and cook again till golden.

Serve hot with onion rings, lime wedges and green coriander chutney!

Enjoy.
