Its the mango season; what happens when you bring mangoes and they do not turn out as sweet as you expected and now no one is eating them. Make this ripe mango masala delight to beat the heat and still enjoy your mangoes.
This recipe is fairly simple to make but looks like a lot of effort. If you gather the ingredients it can be made in advance to enjoy later.
Ingredients:
2 ripe mangoes peeled and de-seeded
10-15 mint leaves crushed
Sugar as per taste
Black salt as per taste
Crushed roasted jeera
Crushed black peppercorns
Ice as needed
Soda or water as needed
Lemon wedge & mint leaves for garnishing
Method:
Pressure cook the mangoes.
Add sugar, salt, jeera powder, peppercorns and crushed mint.
Cook everything for about 3 mins. Cool and mash roughly with a spoon.
Now you can store this for further use also.
For final assembly salt the rim of a tall glass. Pour 2-3 tbsp of the mango mix. Top with soda/water and ice. Garnish with lemon wedge and mint leaves.
Enjoy your drink!!
