Directions to make baked bread rolls-

Ingredients-

For potato filling-

2-3 large potatoes boiled

Jeera 1/2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp(optional)

1 large onion(add more if you’d like)

1/2 cup grated carrot

1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum

Salt as per taste

Black pepper freshly ground as per taste

Jeera powder 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Lemon juice 1 tbsp(or amchur powder 1 tsp)

For the rolls-

Bread slices 10-12

Butter or any oil for brushing

Method:

In a thick bottom pan heat some oil. Add the Jeera and onions. Cook till onions are soft.

Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for another 30 sec.

Add in all the masalas.

Lastly add potato.

*you can either grate the potatoes or mash it with a fork.

Roast the potatoes well for 10-15 mins scraping the bottom and edges.

Keep aside to cool.

Now for final bread rolls assembly.

Heat your oven at 200°C for 10mins

Take a slice of bread and flatten it with a rolling pin(belan).

You can choose to cut the sides. However I have not.

Now fill 1 tbsp filling and seal the edges by applying some water.

**pls doing overfill the rolls or else it will explode while baking.

***pls make sure the filling has cooled down completely before starting to make rolls.

Now once all the filling has been consumed and you have finished making rolls, brush the rolls with melted butter(you can also spray with oilve oil.

It’s not necessary to completely cover the roll with butter or oil but enough to get it crisp.

Now place the rolls on a baking plate and bake for 10-15 mins as per your choice.

Enjoy hot with ketchup. And in this hot weather drink some cool lemonade.
