And I did try out two recipes with yogurt/curd but did not like them. I wanted to post something that I love❤❤ so got this amazing recipe from my dear friend and fellow blogger Sonal Gupta who blogs at Simplyvegetarian777. Please head over to her blog and show some love!!

Coming back to recipe these brownies are so fudgy and crispy on top. But of course my favorite slice is the corner one.

Eggless brownie
So fudgy, right❤❤

It’s has no curd or yogurt so this one tasted different than the ones that have yogurt. Also they are very close to the texture of the egg brownies that I make so that’s a win win.

Directions to make Eggless Brownie-

Recipe Source- Simplyvegetarian777

1 cup Maida or Plain Flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp Baking soda

1/4 tsp salt(leave it if using salted butter)

120 gm unsalted butter at room temperature

1/3 cup brown sugar(tightly packed)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp Vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk

In a bowl add butter and sugar and whisk until pale and creamy.

Add vanilla essence and milk.

Mix well.

Now start adding the dry ingredients- flour, baking soda, salt(if using), cocoa powder.

Mix until all is combined.

Pour in a greased and lined square tin. Bake at 170°C for 25-30 mins.

I like to leave it in the tin itself after its done baking to cool down completely.

Cut in squares and enjoy!!

  1. Was really looking for an eggless brownie recipe for a while and had kinda given up … could totally relate to you when you said yoghurt gives a ‘different’ taste. I don’t know why or how but for me eggless yoghurt based brownies were absolutely … yuck. For some reason even if the curd wasn’t sour it would add such a sour taste to the brownie. I tried your recipe today and my brownie is actually cooling down atm but I couldn’t stop myself from stealing a piece and having it . IT WAS SO GOOD !!!!! Texture and taste was so so yum. I don’t think it’s gonna last till it cools 😜 Thanks so much to you and your friend for sharing this!

    1. Hey Dharti, thanks for stopping by. Yes baking soda is important. However if you are not ok adding they still can be made without baking soda. Hope this helps your query!

  2. Brownies looking very tempting must say. Loving their texture fudge types. mouth watering wish if I can grab them now.

  3. Loved the texture of the brownies. Soft and mushy just like they should be. Hard brownies are a total put off. Sonal’s recipes are amazing and you have done full justice to it by both cooking and clicking it. Cheers Avin!
